Effective Date: July 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Lancers ("Lancers," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use the Amanat Lost and Found mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, "Amanat" or the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Amanat, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: Information such as your name, email address, phone number, username, profile photo, authentication identifiers, and account preferences.
  • Lost and found report information: Item name, category, description, identifying characteristics, date and time lost or found, status, ownership details, and other information you choose to include in a report.
  • Photos and media: Images or files you upload to help identify, verify, or match a lost or found item.
  • Location information: The location you manually enter and, only with device permission, approximate or precise device location used to tag, search, sort, or match reports.
  • Communications: Messages exchanged through Amanat, verification responses, feedback, support requests, and communications with us or another user.
  • Technical and usage information: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, device or app identifiers, language, time zone, crash information, diagnostics, log data, and information about how the Service is used.
  • Matching and verification information: Similarity signals, suggested matches, report relationships, image or text features, and verification results generated to assist with item recovery and fraud prevention.

2. How We Use Information

We may use the information described above to:

  • Create, authenticate, maintain, and secure user accounts.
  • Publish and manage lost and found reports.
  • Search for and suggest possible matches using report details, images, dates, categories, and locations.
  • Help users verify ownership or possession and coordinate a safe return.
  • Provide location-based search, filtering, regional results, and notifications.
  • Send service messages, match alerts, security notices, and support responses.
  • Detect spam, scams, abuse, duplicate reports, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, analyze, improve, and develop Amanat and its matching systems.
  • Comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, and protect users, the public, Lancers, and the Service.

3. Public Reports and Identity Protection

Information included in a lost or found report may be displayed to other Amanat users or the public, depending on the Service's settings. Avoid publishing sensitive information such as a complete identity-card number, bank-card number, passport number, home address, passwords, or security answers.

Amanat is designed to limit unnecessary disclosure of owner and finder contact details. Contact or identity information may be revealed when you choose to share it, when both parties consent, or when it is reasonably necessary to verify and coordinate an item's return.

4. AI-Assisted Matching

Amanat may use automated systems, including image and text analysis, to compare reports and suggest possible matches. A suggested match is an assistance tool and is not proof of ownership, identity, authenticity, or entitlement to an item. Users should independently verify claims and use safe return practices.

5. Device Permissions

Amanat may request the following device permissions when needed:

  1. Camera: To capture item photographs for a report or verification.
  2. Photos or media: To select and upload images or files from your device.
  3. Location: To tag a report, show nearby reports, or improve location-based matching. You may enter a location manually where available.
  4. Notifications: To send match suggestions, report updates, messages, security alerts, and service notices.

You can manage permissions through your device settings. Disabling a permission may limit the related feature but should not affect unrelated features.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information only as reasonably necessary in the following circumstances:

  • With other users: Report information and information you choose or consent to share for matching, verification, messaging, and return coordination.
  • With service providers: Vendors that support cloud hosting, authentication, storage, mapping, notifications, communications, analytics, security, customer support, and AI-assisted matching, subject to appropriate obligations.
  • For legal and safety reasons: When required by law or when reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, prevent fraud, investigate abuse, protect rights and safety, or enforce our agreements.
  • Business changes: In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to applicable privacy protections.
  • With your direction or consent: When you ask us to share information or otherwise authorize the disclosure.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

7. Third-Party Services

Amanat may rely on third-party services for functions such as account authentication, cloud hosting, database storage, file storage, maps, geocoding, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, communications, and automated matching. Those providers may process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy notices. The app's store disclosures should identify the data practices of all third-party SDKs included in the released version of Amanat.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and secure the Service, maintain reports and matches, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, report status, account status, legal requirements, and operational needs. Deleted information may remain temporarily in secure backups before being removed through normal backup cycles.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You may delete individual reports through the available in-app controls. You may also request deletion of your Amanat account and associated personal data by using the account-deletion option in the app or by emailing info@lancers.dev with the subject "Amanat Account Deletion Request."

We may ask you to verify your identity before processing a request. Certain information may be retained where required by law or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or enforcement purposes.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their login credentials and reporting suspected account misuse.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access, review, or correct certain account and report information.
  • Delete reports or request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Disable location, camera, photo, or notification permissions in device settings.
  • Object to or request restriction of certain processing, where legally available.
  • Request a copy of certain personal information, where legally available.

To submit a privacy request, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain a record of the request as required or permitted by law.

12. Safe Use of the Service

Do not post highly sensitive identifiers or publicly reveal details that only the true owner should know. Meet in a safe public place, use appropriate verification questions, and involve venue staff or local authorities where appropriate. Amanat facilitates reporting and matching but does not guarantee that a report, user, ownership claim, or suggested match is genuine.

13. Children's Privacy

Amanat is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action. A higher minimum age may apply in some countries.

14. International Processing

Information may be processed or stored in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we take appropriate steps intended to protect information when it is transferred across borders.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Amanat, our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the Effective Date. Where appropriate, we may also provide an in-app or other prominent notice.
